my suggestion:if the company is strong, the best choice is J2ee + oracle.. , next choice might be J2ee + mysql.. then, it is php + mysql. of course in linux.. for a really business case, do not do the risk to try any m$ stuff.. concerning that db testing.. the most suspection is why postgresql was not involved..
