mysql NOT IN ，！= 可以使用索引吗？

网上的资料都说 not in  ！= 不能使用索引。经过explain验证   5.0下 不能使用索引 5.5 上面  not in  ！= 都可以使用范围索引。
是不是在mysql 在哪个版本以后，有所修改？

可以分不同引擎来测试一下 ，在 mysiam 下可以使用索引，在innodb下不使用索引。

从理论上来说， not in, != 很难使用索引。
