JOB SPECIFICATIONS
POSITION SUMMARY:To maintain SQL Server database with 7*24 high availability. To maintain Oracle 8i & 9i database with 7*24 high availability.Participate in Global/Regional database initiatives.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This is to describe the specific roles and responsibilities of the position. Please do not use Dell acronyms as Staffing will use this description for external advertisements
· Plan and design database structure and configuration following Dell IT global standard.
· Day-to-day manage database, including Performance Monitoring, Capacity Planning, etc. Ensure systems up time > 99.95%
· Participate in Global/APJ (Asia Pacific & Japan) database projects and roll out for Greater China. Drive local business initiatives in database.
· Keep track on advanced feature/technology on RDBMS maintenance and introduce to Dell.
· Provide professional support (Level 2 and Level 3) to application and internal users.
· Strictly follow global security instructions, make sure database access right is strictly and properly controlled and all DB patched up-to-date.

· REQUIREMENTS:Set out the qualifications, experience and skills that are essential for the position
· At least 2 years of working experience on administrating Microsoft SQL Server databases with complex application.
· Be familiar with T-SQL language.
· Experience on Linux and Oracle DB maintenance is preferable.
· Good interpersonal and communication skills.
