REMOTE_ADDR无法显示ip啊！！！！

$ip=$REMOTE_ADDR;
echo $ip;
?>
打开页面的时候是空的但是把ip赋值成一个数就可以在页面上显示<?php
$ip=abc
echo $ip;
?>
这是怎么回事？
还有个问题，就是php.ini文件中，怎么有好多个 session.save_path?

session.save_path = "C:/tmp; 两个是重复参数耶!!!
