vmware linux下 编译libxml2的时候报错 请指教 多谢

我在vmware下安装了 centos5.5 然后安装了apache 在安装php之前,安装libxml2-2.7.4版本, configure是正常的 ,可是在make的时候总是报:
./.libs/libxml2.so: undefined reference to `gzopen64'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [xmllint] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/aore2010/tools/libxml2-2.7.4'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/aore2010/tools/libxml2-2.7.4'
make: *** [all] Error 2该怎么解决呢 请各位指教 我的机器是core i5 4核处理器 不知道是不是支持64位影响的 请大家指教 多谢
