如何实现文本的自动换行？

我们都知道文本控件可以实现自动换行
我现在想实现将一大段文本转换成每行最多80字节的文本
而且不能把单词分开，就象文本控件那样
比如：
The DirectX story begins in 1995 when Microsoft was introducing Windows 95 to the world
转换后：
The DirectX story begins in 1995 when Microsoft
was introducing Windows 95 to the world
而不是：
The DirectX story begins in 1995 when Microso
ft was introducing Windows 95 to the world
具体怎么实现？有没有类似的源码？

用GetTextExtent得到字符显示占用的象素点数。
