关于delphi中注册表操作的问题

1、我的程序运行时出现如下提示：
Project carrierDB.exe raised exception class ERegistryException with message'Failed to get data for'BG_Index''.Process stopped.Use Step or Run to continue.
2、程序错误提示停留在一下单元：
General单元中'ReadFromRegistry('Background','BG_Index',varInteger)'函数这一行
3、我的程序还可以用。不知为什么？
请高手赐教！
