如何清除windows的历史记录

想做一个按钮,按下后可以清除windows的历史记录
我发现历史记录在两个路径下:
D:\Documents and Settings\username\Recent
和
D:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\History
(我装的是windowsXP英文版,在D盘)我直接用kill,运行时却报错"file not found"怎么回事?请高指教,谢谢!
