postgres 单表的备份问题 奇怪？？？

单表的备份这样操作对么？
D:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.3\bin\pg_dump -U postgres -t table > c:\temp.sql
    在doc界面中进入到postgres安装目录的bin目录中，然后pg_dump  -U postgres -t table > c:\temp.sql
      -U 是数据库用户名  -t是要备份的表名  c:\temp.sql   在c盘下生成temp.sql文件      
              为什么我这样做还是不成功   提示是：No matching table were found  
   我这是按照网上教的做的   但我总感觉是不是少了 -d dbname        不用声明一下 数据库的名称么？
