求助，安装php时，加载mysql失败

我是apache2.2+mysql5.1+php5.3，系统是linux redhat x86_64安装php./configure --prefix=/usr/local/php --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs --with-zlib-dir但是却出现

configure: error:mysql configure failed.Please check config.log for more information.然后就退出安装了这是怎么回事？所有软件我都是源码安装。在网上搜了艘，什么把--with-mysql改成--with-mysql-dir不管用阿，php都不认mysql.鞠躬，谢谢
