DataList处于Edit状态时，中间有一DropDownList，在ItemDataBound事件中为什么找不到此DropDownList,不能给它加载数据？

我有一DataList:dllReportDefine，某行处于Edit状态时，中间有一DropDownList，我在ItemDataBound事件中用
dllReportDefine = (DropDownList)e.Item.FindControls("ddlReportDefine")
引用dllReportDefine然后给它绑定数据，老报错没有引用对象的实例，没找到dllReportDefine另外，在Select状态是有一Label，想让它的Text作为此DropDownList的选定项，但是，也找不到这个Label.
