关于Hibernate的DOCTYPE问题

我在classpath里面加入了hibernate3.jar，可不可以将hibernate.cfg.xml的头部去掉，或者如何配置本地的dtd？

"-//Hibernate/Hibernate Configuration DTD 3.0//EN"
"http://www.hibernate.org/dtd/hibernate-configuration-3.0.dtd">
xml文件里面有这段是不是必须连外网才能成功运行？hbm.xml的头部能不能去掉？
