散份提醒:什么时候使用Web Service？

basically ,I agree . web service will be more popular in the future .you may go to www.salesforce.com , you can see how salesforce make success on a exchange platform based on web service ,specially it's Apex api and appexchange .from start , though it only is the provider of CRM service on the internet , now ,it is so successful  .
currently , for RIA , UI is a problem . actually , AJAX is inconvenient,at least today is so. if this problem can also be sovled better , web service will have a more bright futher .

Personally,just so so.This is just the basics of WS,too ideal.if we want put it into actual use,there are many other things we should think about,like security,maybe before u adopt WS, u have to persuade ur  boss that WS is a right choice,and usually this is fairly hard.

actually , some company like google , yahoo has provided some web service API based on    
SOAP or REST . I prefer to REST.
