一个字符串截取问题

编程：编写一个截取字符串的函数，输入为一个字符串和字节数，输出为按字节截取的字符串。 但是要保证汉字不被截半个，如“我ABC”4，应该截为“我AB”，输入“我ABC汉DEF”，6，应该输出为“我ABC”而不是“我ABC+汉的半个”。程序代码:

但是我觉得上面结果与题目要求不对,请哪位高手给个正确的程序

String.length()返回的中文和英文总数,但要如何区分其中的中英文呢

此处的编码方式应该是操作系统默认的GB编码，即汉字占2个字节且第一个字节的最高位是1，
如果理解为有符号数的话，就是负数；而英文占1个字节，符合ASC2码。 class  SplitString

谢谢,CSDN果然高手多,马上给你加分但还有问题两个:
String substrx = new  String(bt, 0 , -- byteNum);中的-- byteNum这个是什么意思?
如果我要循环截取那又该如何?

我试了一下,好象中文所占两个字节的最高位都是1,所以if (bt[byteNum] < 0 )改为
if (bt[byteNum-1] < 0 ) 会更好点
