1,use cookie!
2,use hidden field!
3,use address(example:http://www.abc.com/servlet/a?login=true)

You can write a php page to certify the user valid. And if valid, then redirect to the jsp you want. Do you know how to redirect to a common html page? The same way can be used for jsp page.
