求火狐与 ie8 的区别写法。

小弟用css 写了个 效果
在火狐下显示正常，但是ie系列下 却显示不尽人意。 后来以 ie 为标准显示，火狐下 的效果又惨不忍睹。
有没什么办法 可以 两者兼容。
以下是我的写法。
* html  .x  {text-decoration:none; line-height:16px;height:0px;text-align:center;float:left;font-weight:normal;width:57px;}        .x  {text-decoration:none; line-height:16px;height:0px;text-align:center;float:left;font-weight:normal; width:54px !important;}貌似前面的* html  .x  {text-decoration:none; line-height:16px;height:0px;text-align:center;float:left;font-weight:normal;width:57px;}
没有用。求正确的 写法。
