你安装过程中选用的可能不是SQL 和 WINDOWS 混合登录，用的是系统帐户，请到SQLSERVER企业管理器，右击XXX(WINNT)即SQLSERVER组下面的一个，选择属性，选择安全性，身份验证选择混合登录。

Another problem : Any difference between 'Adminitrator' and 'sa'? Are they the same thing? Since all the user-name I use is 'Administrator' not 'sa'. And use 'sa' for the password. Is there a set of standard procedure to install the window2000 server and SQL server that could make it work.

to LONGFOR(雪婷) WINDOW2000 professional 和NT 是两回事 NT也是服务器用的版本 但WINDOW2000 professional 相当于NT 的WORKSTATION。 所以不能在但WINDOW2000 professional 中装服务器的开发版
OK, A new step..with the hopelessness, I Modified some of the registry table info of the MSSQLSERVER. It is in the HOTKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLSERVER\MSSQLSERVER I changed the LoginMode from 0x1 to 0x2. Restart the SQLServer Service and go to the Enterprise Manager to create a Server using 'sa' account.!!! It works. ^_^.. (Still I can't use the localsystem to register a new Server now)But But... I found there was nothing in the database and was going to create a new database in it. The Server Disconnects itself just after I click the Database icon .. !!??
try the following: login as administrator -> start menu -> control panel -> administrate tools -> services -> find a service named just like "SQL....." -> double click on it and check the login option -> change the login option to "local system" -> restart computer.is it ok?

因爲我試過WINDOW2000 server 也是不行的，搞來搞去搞到WINDOW2000 有點問題，所以就重裝成WINDOW2000 professional試試。。服务管理器在開機的時候就已經開了。。只是Server Agent開不了，使用‘服務’來開也是開不了。 我想是同樣的問題。。
另外，最好不要用2000pro，还是用2000server的好。
2000pro对SQL Server的支持不好。
SQL Server也不要用Develop版，换标准版或者服务器版比较好。
这样多半不会再出问题了。
另外，如果安裝好Window2000Server後，需不需要做點特別的設置才能成爲Adminisrator权限的用户了。。
那你的Window2000和SQL的权限是怎麽設置的了。。

如果你选择SQL帐号登录时，用么用系统管理员帐号sa和密码（这个密码在安装SQL Sever后第一次使用时为空）,也可以用SQL管理员分配给你的帐号和密码登录，唯一要注意的是这个帐号要已经建立。如果SQL Sever中并没有administrator帐号时（如果没有管理员建立它，这个帐号并不是默认存在的）你的登录当然不会成功。 你可能用sa帐号登录。密码为空试试。
