mysql update效率问题

请教经常开发的大哥一下，问下以下两种情况，哪个效率高啊：方法一：
update table1 set aaa='wsad' where id=1234
update table2 set bbb='asdf' where id=1234方法二：
update table1 a,table2 b set a.aaa='wsad',b.bbb='asdf' where id=1234类似的情况，大虾们比较推荐用哪一种啊？项目数据量比较大也不是很大，可从各种方面讲述，谢谢各位了。

感觉上应该是第一种。第二种语法上似乎还少了where a.id=1234 and b.id=1234

explain...看一下具体执行计划。
