you can download the jar. there are all kinds of jdbc versions.. 
give u one of them..
http://sourceforge.net/projects/mmmysql/if you use any application server, you could simply copy the 
jdbc jar into that lib.i do not think ejb could connect to mysql without using any jdbc jar.
