一个简单的得到总数的问题（100分）

Question

SELECT DISTINCT a.col2, b.col3 form a ,b where a.col4 = b.col4
我想得到这上面这条sql语句的总数，请问有什么办法没有？我自己试过如下两种方法：
1，SELECT count(DISTINCT a.col2, b.col3) form a ,b where a.col4 = b.col4
参数多了，不行。
2，SELECT count(DISTINCT a.col2) form a ,b where a.col4 = b.col4
这样得到的总数又不正确。
请各位大虾帮帮忙。
