Verify that the ADDRESS in the TNSNAMES.ORA file or the LISTENER.ORA file is correct. Verify that the listener on the remote node has been started. You may check its status with the STATUS command of the Listener Control Utility, and start it with the START command if necessary

    how to start the listener on the remote node? I think it is an error configuration on my ora server. I don't know where to find a configuration guide of lsnctrl. Can you tell me something more?I search the web but can't find the answer. My friend tell me that he met this problem on ora8i, but on ora817 he said everything is ok. Can anyone tell me the collect answer?
