session是否验证cookie，不验证ip?

Question

假如我的电脑与某个服务器有一个session(对话)。这时候我的IP忽然换掉了，这个session是否可以继续？
原理性的问题，不过不了解机制，谢谢。

试了一下gmail.换了IP后，还是可以在线的。
就是不知道这个是不是session
