delphi7在台式机上可以安装、注册成功，在笔记本上可以安装、但不能注册成功，为什么？

在笔记本上安装完成后，启动delphi，出现如下提示框
borland license information was found, but it is not valid for Delphi.
You can not run Delphi without this information.看了网上的解决方法（如下），也没用，就是不认注册码。========================
原因：注册文件损坏。
1) Delete the file: C:\documents and settings\<username>\.borland\registry.slm
2) Run c:\program files\borland\delphi7\bin\D7Reg.exe
3) Click next...
4) Open then Delphi7
========================请问高手，这个问题怎样解决？

笔记本和台式机的系统运行环境一样吗？
如果一样，卸载掉重新安装，实在不行，换个安装程序，网上那个替换dent.slip的版本就不错
