奇怪的count(*)问题？

foxpro2.5的数据库文件，用paradox驱动，统计时出现以下问题：select count(*) from unit where field1='A'   //语句正常运行
换成以下语句就不能执行了
select count(*) from unit where field1='A' or field1='B' //不正常
出现了“capability not supported”的错误，请问这是怎么回事，难道是不
支持or操作？
