SQL2中多表连接的问题，高手才进！

Question

连接一词到底是什么意思？是2个表的某个字段用等号？要要求是A表的age字段大于B表的age字段，这算不算连接，能不能用...from ( a inner join b on a.age > b.age) ...?from 后面那些表的join语句里，是不是只能出现＝？我想让男孩年龄大于女孩，男孩年龄等于24，男孩女孩在同一个城市，是这么写：
select ...from (boys a join girls b on a.city = b.city and a.age > b.age and a.age=24) order by ...
还是：
select ... from (boys a join girls b on a.city = b.city) where a.age > b.age and a.age=24 order by ...
或者有别的什么写法？望不吝赐教！

两者都正确但是必须把from后面的“（）”去掉，语法才正确。

from boys a ,
     girls b
where a.city = b.city) 
  and a.age > b.age 
  and a.age=24 
order ……
